Social media star causing a backlash after blasting black men who only date white women

This aspiring social media star is drawing backlash on social media after blasting some black men who don’t date black women.

On Wednesday, writer Tiffany Jolene took to Facebook with a very specific dating frustration. “If your primary reason for dating white women is because you’re under the self centered delusion that they are more ‘submissive’ and understanding of your inherent refusal to get your s - - t together without the help of a romantic partner, I am not the Caucasian for you,” she wrote in a status update.

To be clear, she’s not against interracial dating — but she thinks many black men seek out white women for the wrong reason. This, she explains in her now-viral post, is troubling on a few levels.

“You’re likely to be intentionally targeting a certain brand of white women because they’re as not privy to your bulls - - t as black women; having been raised around or by you,” she says. “You highlight your disapproval of black women because of their independence, strength . . . They are much more ‘difficult’ for you to manipulate.”

Her post drew praise from some women.

“I’ve been waiting years to see someone reject the bullshit black men use to put down black women and elevate white women,” wrote Negrita Devereaux. “I’m glad you used your voice and your talent to talk about your experience.”

Asia Bilal commented: “The same men she’s talking about will disrespect ya asses in a minute. Don’t try to downplay her cause she’s white.”

But not everyone agreed.

Josh White wrote: “I just like interracial dating . . . that’s it lol.”

Benny Sides Tweeted: “It’s not anyone’s place to make these kind of stereotypical generalizations about entire ethnic and/or gender groups.”
