Using surface-to-surface missiles and heavy artillery fire, the Syrian Arab Army’s 39th Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division managed to pick-off a number of Jaysh Al-‘Izza and Jaysh Al-Nasr fighters that were gathering in northern Hama.
According to a military source in northern Hama, the reason for the increased shelling and missile strikes on Al-Lataminah is due to the Syrian Arab Army’s upcoming offensive to seize this town from the jihadist rebels.
Al-Lataminah is an important town located just south of the Idlib Governorate border; its proximity to the Aleppo-Damascus Highway also makes it an imperative military endeavor for the Syrian government forces in the area.
