Heat Packs

It is recommended to apply heat packs to your abdominal area to encourage menstrual fluid in the uterus to move out of the body and relieve the pain.

Take a hot water bottle and place it on your lower abdomen for 5 minutes.
Also you can soak a towel in warm water and then apply it on your abdomen.

Hot Showers or Baths

When you take hot baths your body relaxes and your blood circulation is increased. It will relieve the menstrual symptoms and make you feel better.

You can add some essential oils in your bath. (1)

Apple Cider Vinegar

You should take one teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar with a cup of warm water before meals during your period. It will regulate the clotting and reduce the duration of the period and the amount of blood loss. (3)

Food Rich in Vitamin C

If you consume food rich in vitamin C during your period it will ease menstrual complications. Vitamin C reduces the amount of progesterone in your uterus, allowing the lining of the uterus to break down faster.
