U.S. Representative Maxine Waters visits Auburn University
AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - United States Representative, Maxine Waters, was at Auburn University Friday night to kick off the Alabama College Democrats Spring Convention. Waters, who has served in Congress for 40 years, rose to Internet fame after her vocal criticism of President Trump.Friday night's "Dems in the House" reception took place inside Auburn's Foy Hall.

Congresswoman, Terri Sewell, along with Alabama State Representative Anthony Daniel were also in attendance.
They had discussions on how they can be more inclusive not only in Auburn but across the state of Alabama.
President of the Alabama College Democrats, Calvin Wilborn, says, "Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Congresswoman Terry Sewell have to lead the resistance in our United States Congress, and we're just honored to have them here to show young progressives how we can advocate our values up and down the ballot."
This was the first time for the group to feature two members of Congress attending at the same time.
